Imports of Georgian wine into the UK increased by 72% from 2020 to 2021;  the UK is now the fastest growing of the new markets for Georgian wine. Demand from the trade as well as consumer interest continue to increase thanks to the consistent market support provided by the Georgian National Wine Agency, and the broader promotion of Georgia as a cultural, gastronomic and touristic destination.

For on-trade and indie buyers and regional merchants curious about giving Georgian wines a chance, this tasting is an opportunity to taste scores of Georgian wines available to buy now from leading agency houses and specialist importers.

For importers (and the curious) there is an additional free-pour tasting of wines from producers who are seeking UK representation.

Tasting at a glance:

  • Importer tables - each importer will be showing the wines they represent in the UK market

  • Unsigned Talent - a free-pour table of wines seeking distribution in the UK

  • A masterclass with Sarah Abbott MW - a tutored tasting of 10 wines that encapsulate contemporary Georgian wine. The wines featured include both qvevri and 'european' (as the Georgians put it) styles, and will highlight the native grapes from across Georgian wine regions.

Main Tasting - 11:00 - 17:00

Masterclass - 10:30 - 11:30
